Online casinos are web-based platforms that host all the games, such as roulette. Players place bets by spinning the wheel, ensuring the ball lands on a random number. There are numerous sites offering sports betting as well. Some of these sites also offer casino games. However, they may have limited gaming options. While federal regulations do not preclude individual states from regulating online gambling, many do not have an easy time enacting their own laws. Some states have already legalized online casino games and sports betting, while others are considering it. Additionally, unregulated sites have cybersecurity issues, leaving your personal information vulnerable to hackers and scammers. Your contact information may be shared with third-party partners for gambling promotion purposes.

It also creates a new office of “gambling oversight” attached to the Treasury Department.
